Educational Qualifications:

Applicants should possess 10+2 or a relevant engineering diploma.

Physical Standards:

Height: Male Candidates: 152.5 cms, Female Candidates: 152 cms (147 cms for candidates from North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand; 150 cms for candidates from Lakshadweep)
Weight: Proportional to height and age.
Chest: Male Candidates: Minimum 77 cms with at least 05 cms expansion, Female Candidates: Well-proportioned and developed chest wall with a minimum expansion of 05 cms
Hearing: Normal hearing capability (able to hear forced whispers from a distance of 06 meters in each ear separately)
Dental: Healthy gums, good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.
Visual Standards:
- Visual Acuity:
  - 6/12 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye
- Refractive Error Limits:
  - Hypermetropia: +2.0D
  - Myopia: 1D including ± 0.50 D Astigmatism
- Colour Vision:
  - CP-II
